This Board is responsible for launching pre-and post-standardization technical activities not restricted to those standards being developed by the IEEE. These would include, but not be limited to, Research Groups that lead to the discovery of standardization opportunities. For completed standards, these groups create follow-up programs, such as compliance testing, standards education, workshops, conferences, and publications on technical issues that are relevant to standards
