Position Statement
Delivering Real Value to Our Members
ComSoc must continuously evolve to provide meaningful benefits to its members. Beyond our excellent publications and conferences, we must introduce new services that meet our community’s needs. As a proactive leader, I believe in delivering results, not just promises.
I will continue adding value to our members, as I did as Director – Member Services, where I played a key role in developing initiatives such as:
- Two additional free publications for members.
- Internet for All, fostering global volunteer engagement to expand connectivity.
- Sister Chapters, strengthening Professional and Student Branch Chapters.
- Process improvements, enhancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Virtual Distinguished Lecturers, delivering 170+ lectures during the pandemic.
- Free training courses in ComSoc’s Media Center, plus additional membership discounts.
- Discounted membership fees for developing nations.
If elected, I will focus on:
- Ensuring ComSoc remains the leading source of high-quality technical content for academics and practicing engineers.
- Expanding access to affordable or free continuing education, including webinars and tutorials.
- Increasing opportunities for junior researchers, engineers, and students to engage with ComSoc, by promoting a truly wide-open society.
- Addressing the diverse needs of members worldwide.
With extensive experience in academia and industry, I understand these challenges firsthand. I have had the privilege of serving ComSoc for 25+ years in multiple leadership roles at the Chapter and Society levels, including as a member of organizing committees for several conferences. My deep commitment drives me to continue delivering tangible benefits, value and meaningful results to our members.
Thank you for your support!
