Lingjia Liu

Lingjia Liu is a Professor and Bradley Senior Faculty Fellow in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. Currently, he is serving as the Director of Wireless@Virginia Tech, a university research center consists of 30+ faculty members to work on all aspects of wireless. He is also a founding faculty at Virginia Tech’s Innovation Campus in the Washington DC metropolitan area. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University and his B.S. in Electronic Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Prior to joining academia, he worked at Samsung Research America (SRA), leading Samsung’s efforts on 3GPP LTE/LTE-Advanced standardization. His research interests are enabling technologies for 6G networks, including machine learning for NextG, massive MIMO, non-terrestrial networks (NTN), O-RAN, and integrated sensing and communications (ISAC). Dr. Liu is serving as an Executive Committee Member of the National Spectrum Consortium (NSC). He is a Fellow of IEEE.
