Position Statement

During over 30 years of ComSoc membership, I have had the privilege of serving in various IEEE and ComSoc leadership roles, including Vice President for Conferences and Editor-in-Chief positions. These experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of how to support and serve our members best. With a deep commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive global community, I aim to enhance member engagement, increase participation, and ensure that ComSoc continues to be a valuable professional home for communications engineers, researchers, and practitioners worldwide.

Throughout my career, I have witnessed firsthand the power of professional networks in shaping innovation and collaboration. As a dedicated IEEE volunteer, I have worked to strengthen member engagement through mentorship programs, regional outreach, and industry-academic partnerships. If elected, I will focus on:

  • Enhancing Member Value: Developing new initiatives, such as professional development programs, networking opportunities, and industry connections, to maximize the benefits of ComSoc membership.
  • Expanding Membership Growth and Diversity: Strengthening outreach efforts to attract young professionals, underrepresented groups, and emerging industry sectors and promoting a fair, inclusive, and collaborative community across all regions and career stages.
  • Strengthening Global Engagement: Ensuring that ComSoc serves the needs of members across all regions by fostering stronger local chapters and digital engagement strategies through financial, logistical, and networking support.

With your support, I will work tirelessly to make ComSoc an even more dynamic, inclusive, and innovative society. I look forward to the opportunity to serve all of you in building a stronger, more connected IEEE ComSoc together.
