2025 Member-at-Large - Europe, Middle East, Africa Region Candidate
Position Statement
I have been attending ComSoc conferences since ICC’85. Hence I understand its membership and what makes it a stable, vibrant and successful, yet evolving society, which reinvents itself for every new era. I personally know a large cohort of the members and in my 49-year career I have liaised with them in diverse capacities, such as Awards Committee Chair, EIC of the IEEE Press and founding Chair of the Quantum ETI. I have also been providing research tutorials for 30+ years – most recently quantum tutorials. I also supported the Young Professionals and acted as Technical, Keynote as well as General Chair of numerous conferences. I would like to intensify my services to ComSoc, with special emphasis on cultivating quantum communications education and research, including the IEEE-level multi-society quantum Initiative.
