2025 Member-at-Large - Asia and Pacific Region Candidate
Position Statement
ComSoc develops a community for its members to hook up, communicate and grow for their professional and career development and knowledge sharing. One biggest asset is its publications. I have spent over 26 years in helping ComSoc publications as their editors, editor-in-chiefs, and steering committee members. I also served as the Director of Magazines and helped develop the guidelines for the best practices for ComSoc magazines still used today. One of the biggest challenges is how to preserve the journal quality under the threats of many money-driven journals. If I am re-elected, I will work with leadership teams to steadily improve publication quality to stay on the competitive edge. Moreover, I am always a strong believer that community sustainability demands conscientious diversity effort. As publication activities involve the largest number of volunteers in ComSoc, I will advocate diversifying our volunteer base by offering high priority to underrepresented groups/regions.
